Alexis Connell

Alexis Connell is an Associate in the Tampa office where her practice is focused on general civil litigation, including nursing home defense, professional liability, insurance defense, and medical malpractice.  Mrs. Connell represents clients throughout all phases of litigation including settlement negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and trial. 

Prior to joining McCumber Daniels, Mrs. Connell practiced civil litigation including nursing home defense, insurance defense, medical malpractice, and general liability.  Before entering private practice, Mrs. Connell served as Assistant Regional Counsel at the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel in Tampa, Florida, representing indigent parties in juvenile dependency cases in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Hillsborough County.  In this position, she handled numerous civil litigation matters including bench trials, mediations, and appeals, and was successful in obtaining various dismissals. 

Mrs. Connell received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of South Florida in 2003 and earned her Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law in 2006.  While in law school, she served as a teaching assistant of legal research and writing and served as a pro bono law clerk at the Jacksonville Legal Clinic.  Mrs. Connell also clerked for major defense firms in Tampa and Jacksonville. 

Mrs. Connell is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Florida and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar.  She was also appointed to serve on the Constitutional Judiciary Committee of The Florida Bar and the Statewide Nominating Commission for Judges of Compensation Claims.  Mrs. Connell a long-standing volunteer of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society.
