Tampa, FL — April 26, 2010 — McCumber, Daniels, Buntz, Hartig & Puig P.A. welcomes Amy L. Miles to the firms Tampa, Florida office. Ms. Miles focuses her practice on appellate law and is heading the firm’s appellate practice group.
Prior to joining McCumber Daniels, Ms. Miles worked for a large defense litigation firm in Tampa, Florida, as a member of the firm’s appellate and insurance coverage group. In 2005-2007, Ms. Miles clerked for the Honorable Douglas A. Wallace of the Second District Court of Appeal. Ms. Miles completed the Florida Bar’s Successful Appellate Advocacy Workshop where Florida District Courts of Appeal judges and experienced Florida appellate practitioners teach the practical aspects of appellate practice.
Ms. Miles graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law. During law school, she interned with the Honorable Mary S. Scriven of the Middle District, United States District Court of Florida. Ms. Miles was on the Stetson Law Review and Stetson’s Moot Court Board. She received several academic honors while in law school.
Ms. Miles is licensed in the State of Florida and admitted to all Florida State Courts and the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida. She is an active member of the Florida Bar’s appellate practice section and an associate editor of the section’s publication, The Record. Ms. Miles is also active in the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s appellate practice section.
